West Beach Criterion Track

A vacant site adjacent Adelaide Airport provided an opportunity to explore a dedicated new cycling facility for Triathlon SA while responding to a complex environmental and operational setting.

CLOVER worked with 180 Sports and Leisure and Triathlon SA to develop a concept plan for a new criterion track capable of supporting different racing formats, age groups and event programs. The design considered the site's saline creek and environmental values alongside Adelaide Airport requirements, rehabilitation opportunities and future governance.

The concept and associated costing were prepared to support a federal grant funding application.
