Stirling Main Street Planting Strategy

Stirling’s distinctive landscape character and seasonal planting are an important part of the town’s identity and visitor experience. CLOVER is developing a long-term planting strategy to renew and strengthen the Main Street landscape while retaining the qualities that make Stirling unique.

The strategy reviews existing vegetation, planting performance and landscape character to identify opportunities for renewal, with a particular focus on enhancing spring colour, seasonal interest and the overall presentation of the Main Street.

Clear recommendations and a staged implementation framework will guide future planting, replacement and maintenance over the next
10–20 years, helping Adelaide Hills Council and the Stirling Business Association manage change while reinforcing the character and appeal of the town centre.
