The revitalisation of Ramsay Place creates a more vibrant and welcoming gateway to the Hopgood Theatre precinct and the heart of Noarlunga Centre.

CLOVER worked with the City of Onkaparinga to develop an activation strategy for the precinct, coinciding with the major refurbishment of the Hopgood Theatre. The first stage focused on transforming key laneway entrances with bold pavement artwork, new landscaping, lighting, fencing, balustrades and furniture to improve the arrival experience, accessibility and connection into Ramsay Place.

The completed Gateway One laneway brings colour, greening and a stronger identity to what was previously a utilitarian connection between Council’s administration building and Noarlunga House.

Future stages will continue the activation of Ramsay Place, introducing additional seating and outdoor learning spaces adjacent to the library and creating more opportunities for people to gather, meet and spend time within the precinct.
