Nardoo River Pods

Set within the River Murray landscape near Renmark, Causeway Island offers an immersive accommodation experience shaped by the river, native vegetation and expansive night skies.

CLOVER developed the landscape concept beginning with the arrival journey, from the descent into the river valley and crossing of the creek through to carefully positioned wayfinding that guides visitors towards the accommodation.

A light-touch approach works with existing roads and infrastructure while protecting and enhancing native vegetation and recognising the cultural stories of the landscape. Floating RIVERPODS are strategically positioned to create a sense of privacy and immersion, with indigenous planting providing natural screening between accommodation areas.

Fire pits and west-facing sunset lounges create places to gather and experience the changing landscape, evening views and dark night skies. Together, these elements establish a landscape experience that feels deliberately understated, allowing the character of the River Murray setting to remain at the centre of the project.
