Prospect Corner
Working with Renewal SA, Brown Falconer, and the wider consultant team, CLOVER developed the landscape architecture for Prospect Corner, a landmark urban renewal project transforming a former underutilised site into a vibrant mixed-housing community. The landscape creates welcoming streetscapes, shared open spaces and green infrastructure that support affordable living while fostering a connected and highly liveable neighbourhood.
The landscape has been carefully integrated throughout the development to strengthen biodiversity, improve urban cooling and create attractive outdoor spaces for residents. Existing significant trees have been retained and protected, while new tree planting, Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD), revegetation and layered planting establish a resilient landscape framework that will mature over time. Green buffers, permeable paving, passive irrigation and climate-responsive planting contribute to the environmental performance and long-term sustainability of the project.
Communal gardens, shaded pedestrian connections, recreation spaces and welcoming entry statements encourage everyday interaction and active living, while carefully considered planting softens the built form and creates privacy without compromising safety or passive surveillance. CLOVER also collaborated with Indigenous artist Ochre Dawn to integrate Aboriginal public art throughout the landscape, reinforcing a strong sense of place and cultural connection.
Comprising 208 architecturally designed homes, including affordable apartments and townhouses, Prospect Corner demonstrates how thoughtful landscape architecture can transform higher-density living into a greener, healthier and more connected community.
