Harper’s Field Sports & Community Hub

This project transformed an established sporting precinct into a new sports and community hub supporting cricket, AFL football and broader community use.

CLOVER worked with Studio Nine Architects, the consultant team and City of Tea Tree Gully to integrate two major new buildings — a sports club with grandstand, changerooms and function spaces, and a dedicated community building — within a connected landscape setting.

The surrounding public realm includes an entrance plaza, playspace, accessible pathways, grassed terraces and open spaces designed to support both game-day activity and everyday community use. Working with a complex site shaped by previous earthworks, the landscape design carefully considered building orientation, solar access, arrival and circulation, playspace integration and the retention of significant existing trees.

The result brings sport, recreation and community facilities together within a more welcoming and connected precinct designed for year-round use.
