Hahndorf Academy Courtyard

The heritage-listed Hahndorf Academy provides the setting for a new formal garden and events space designed to complement the character of one of South Australia’s most visited regional galleries.

CLOVER worked with Mount Barker District Council to develop the concept and detailed landscape design, drawing on key themes established through the wider Hahndorf Main Street upgrade.

The project combines a new events lawn, formal planting and seating with carefully considered drainage and pavement improvements designed to protect the historic stone walls of the Academy. The renewed courtyard provides a flexible outdoor setting for exhibitions, events and everyday visitors while respecting the heritage character of this important Hahndorf landmark.
