CLOVER worked closely with Confident Kids Childcare to create an integrated landscape design for their new childcare facility in Gawler, responding to the site's heritage buildings and its location beside the South Para River.

Our landscape and fencing design carefully balanced the site's heritage character while seamlessly integrating outdoor learning areas, playspaces, the streetscape frontage, site entry and carpark.

Working collaboratively with Stallard Meek Flightpath Architects and the civil design team, we developed a coordinated design response that addressed the site's 1.8 metre level change, assessed existing trees for retention, and incorporated nature-based themes inspired by the river environment and its Aboriginal cultural significance.

Guided by Reggio Emilia principles, the outdoor spaces encourage child-led learning, social interaction, creative expression and meaningful connections with nature, creating an environment that supports curiosity, exploration and play.
