Churchill Road Pocket Park

Surplus land beside the new Torrens Road Bridge provided an opportunity to introduce much-needed green space into the urban environment at Ovingham.

The Churchill Road Pocket Park transforms previously underutilised land into a small but valuable community landscape incorporating native planting, biodiversity, recreation and places for people to stop and gather.

The project demonstrates how residual land associated with major transport infrastructure can contribute positively to its neighbourhood, supporting DIT’s broader objectives for a safer, greener and better-connected transport network.
