St Joseph’s School, Hectorville – Early Learning

The new learning environment at St Joseph's School, Hectorville brings together landscape and learning to create a connected outdoor setting that encourages curiosity, exploration and play. Working closely with the school throughout the concept design process, CLOVER developed the landscape for the new facility and surrounding outdoor spaces, creating an integrated environment that reflects the school's vision for early childhood education
Positioned alongside the refurbished chapel and Occasional Care building, the landscape strengthens connections across the site. Shared shade from an established tree, permeable boundaries and a diverse range of outdoor spaces create opportunities for exploration, social interaction and seamless movement between learning environments.
The outdoor spaces have been carefully integrated with the new building to create a natural extension of the learning experience. Nature, play and discovery are embedded throughout the landscape, with flexible spaces that encourage imagination, movement and connection while supporting the wellbeing of children, educators and the wider school community.
